 ANGELS ART GALLERY HERE

Hello, My name is Sharon Lee and  I'm an avid gardener who grows mainly every wildflower that is native to Rhode Island...  I started gardening 20 something years ago after someone had told me that nothing would grow in my yard because of all the woods and pine. So with that being said, I decided to plant what was native to this area of the forest...Wild Flowers.....

    SIMPLE TIPS FOR JOYFUL LIVING

    THIS MONTH'S JOYFUL TIP

This February, commit to keeping your heart light! Not sure how to approach that task? The answer is much simpler than you think.

The other day I returned home from work- overwhelmed, overtired, disenchanted, and indulging in those sneaky feelings of listlessness that seem to be just part of the human experience. It was a harrowing day- full of stress, appointments, and a seemingly endless “to do” list that would take ten of me to complete. Humph. My gaze fell on my stack of bills that were patiently waiting for me- unopened on my desk. A feeling of nausea struck. I simply didn’t have it in me that night to face that grueling task either. I decided to wait for the weekend to open them.

I went back to my room and, seeking some form of decompression, turned on my computer. I decided to sort through my many files of pictures; I wanted to email them to friends and family members who would enjoy seeing them. That seemed a comforting task. I clicked on the thumbnail of one strange picture of a fitted sheet hanging over the window in my bedroom. What the…. heck? The file opened. The “picture” turned out to be a video that my son and I took many months ago- just being goofy- and I had completely forgotten about. Within seconds of opening the video, I was falling on my bed in total fits of laughter! The sheet over the window was a backdrop we had concocted in attempts to make the room fit the song playing in the video: a New Age, Egyptian, Cowboy ditty (for lack of better description) that he and I had discovered as a musical data file on my new work Blackberry. The song played in the foreground as my (then 13 year old) son, Craig, who is one of the funniest, sweetest, most loving creatures on the planet, engaged in a comical interpretive dance.

I was howling. Then… a video “surprise” enters the pseudo Egyptian scene- Molly Mae- our black and white Chihuahua- and dances along with Craig (assisted by me) giving me another dose of the world’s best medicine- gut busting laugher! My work woes were forgotten… the angst from my looming pile of bills had vanished… I played the video over and over and never seemed to tire of its silliness. I went to bed with a light heart and my faith in life restored. (If you are interested in seeing the video, email me! :)

Could it be any more clear? We need to laugh more. It seems simple, doesn’t it? Laugh your head off! But how often do we actually indulge in one of life’s greatest FREE pleasures?

Laugher is such an amazing remedy that it is being used by cancer treatment centers, such as this one: http://www.cancercenter.com to augment more conventional protocols. The site quips, “We were born with the gift of laughter. Laughter is a natural medicine. It lifts our spirits and makes us feel happy. Laughter is a contagious emotion. It can bring people together. It can help us feel more alive and empowered.”

I couldn’t agree more! In fact, mounds of research points to laughter as a viable treatment for depression, anxiety, and grief. Here are some of the benefits of laughter touted on this same website.

    Laugher is known to:
    ·    Boost the immune system and circulatory system
    ·    Enhance oxygen intake
    ·    Stimulate the heart and lungs
    ·    Relax muscles throughout the body
    ·    Trigger the release of endorphins (the body’s natural painkillers)
    ·    Ease digestion/soothes stomach aches
    ·    Relieve pain
    ·    Balance blood pressure
    ·    Improve mental functions (i.e., alertness, memory, creativity)
    ·    Improve overall attitude
    ·    Reduce stress/tension
    ·    Promote relaxation
    ·    Improve sleep
    ·    Enhance quality of life
    ·    Strengthen social bonds and relationships
    ·    Produce a general sense of well-being

No need to go searching for a more potent cure for the blues. Just laugh! You might just fall in love again this

    Valentine’s Day… with life!

    February Featured Gem Stone:
    Rose Quartz

Love is boundless. Love belongs not only to Valentines day, but  it belongs to you, to me, to him, to her, to this and to that. It is shared among all people, animals, and all forms of life.  Love simply is.

I wont lie, I buy into all the February 14th hoopla too;  just because I think its fun and it presents a nice opportunity to show a little extra love to those around you.  The celebration of Love and your expression of it should never be limited to this one day alone. We benefit most from love when we allow it to be a daily celebration, and in finding ways to express it in every breath we take.

Life takes us by the horns daily, we all know this… So sometimes it's all that we need;  just to have a gentle reminder to find love in all people, things, and circumstances and most importantly in our selves…  In addition to the wealth of tools we have available to us today to remind us of this, we also have the beautiful and enchanting gem and mineral kingdom.

All to often we underestimate the nurturing and healing energies of these beautiful gifts from Mother Earth. With this in mind I would like to introduce you to this months featured Gem Stone, Rose Quartz.

Rose Quartz ranges in color from a soft pink to a golden white.  Its energy can produce gentleness outside of and within the user, as it radiates a calming energy that will gently work on all of the chakras to remove negativity and reinstate loving energy.

Rose Quartz enhances love in any situation including within and for your self, family, and all other forms of relationships. Rose Quartz brings peacefulness, calmness and clarity to the emotions and mind, assisting you during and following difficult situations.  It will help with feelings of loneliness, repressed pains from the past and heartaches. Rose Quartz promotes receptivity to the beauty that surrounds us, and will aid you in seeing past outside influences so you may truly enjoy the divinity that surrounds you.  It is effective in treatment of conditions of the emotional body, as it will balance the emotion of love throughout the heart, throat, and crown chakra's.

Rose Quartz will assist you in instilling a permanence to the expression of your loving nature and will assist you in dissolving stress and tension.  It has been used to clear fluids and impurities in the cells of the body, to treat vertigo, and to help in diminishing disorders related to the kidneys and adrenal glands. When placed on the heart it can diminish pain, and stimulate proper function of the heart.

The uses for Rose Quartz are nearly endless! Any place or situation that could use some Extra love will benefit from its energies. Wear or carry a piece of Rose Quartz with you, allow it to remind you gently to find love, and express love in every available opportunity. Call on its energies to help you rinse away any negative energies holding you back from experiencing love to its fullest potential in every moment, and remember “All you need is love”~ The Beatles, “ Love Conquers All Things” ~ Virgil, “Where There is Love There is Life” ~ Mahatma Gandhi.

    HELPFUL TIP:
Show your crystals some love by cleansing and recharging them regularly. This will enhance the effectiveness of the energies as well as keep your little lovelies happy!  To cleanse your crystals you may, run water over them, emerge them in sea salt overnight, or smudge them with sage.

Once you have cleansed the crystals recharge them in the moonlight or place them outside for a few hours in the morning. Please note that there are fragile stones such as Selenite and Kyanite which should never be placed in water as they may and will eventually deteriorate.

    The TAO Of Abundance

Eight Ancient Principles For Abundant Living

    By: Laurence G . Boldt

One ~ Recognizing the unity of all things starts you on the path to true abundance.

Two ~ Learning to receive opens the door to your greatest good.

Three ~ Following the path of least resistance brings success with ease.

Four ~ Circulating the energy in your life strengthens health, deepens relationships, and generates wealth.

Five ~ Honoring your innate dignity and actualizing your inborn abilities is the road to authentic power.

Six ~ Balancing Yin and Yang eliminates stress and brings peace of mind.

Seven ~ Taking time to be, to grow, and to nuture your relationships gives you the strength to persevere.

Eight ~ Achieving your destiny is a matter of trusting and embracing the organic pattern of your life.

From the author who brought us Zen And The Art of making A Living,  comes The Tao Of Abundance. Once in awhile I come across a book that I feel should be on everyone's MUST read list, this is such a book! Not only is it full of deep insight but it also comes with a workbook section in the back to help you work through it's teachings,  helping you to work through Your Vision of Abundance and bring more Joy into your life by living in and following your true nature.

What does Abundance mean to You? In the introduction the Author is quick to point out that this is not a "get rich quick" or "think your way to riches" book. You will not be told to "think like a millionaire", "dress for success," or climb the corporate ladder." You won't find advise on investments or planing for retirement. The emphasis is on a deeper experience of abundance than can be realized by the mere accumulation of material things or money.

We typically measure abundance in terms of the money and objects that we possess. We think that those who possess the most are the most free and powerful individuals and that they therefore enjoy the most abundant lifestyle. Yet, in truth the most free and powerful individuals are those who can be happy with the fewest things. Apart from the material side of abundance , we can have an abundance of ideas, of friends, of energy, and courage... or we can feel a sense of lack in any of these areas.  In the end, we could say that abundance is the feeling of enough and to spare. Well, all right, but how much is enough? Clearly, having no point of reference for each individual, abundance then becomes more of a state of mind, or more precisely, of being.

The Tao,  by definition... is beyond definition, or,  that which is transcendent to thought and name. You do not need to be a Taoist to enjoy or relate to this book, but you may find that the Tao makes more sense to you than you ever thought possible,  as I have. "In subtle and beautiful poetry, it speaks not of exploits of God or gods but of the reality of an Eternal transcendent consciousness that all of us move in, whether we are conscious of it or not. To access this timeless wisdom, there is no need to learn about or identify with God or a mythological story about a single all-powerful deity. Recognition of the Eternal Tao does not require that you join an organization or that you subscribe to religious rules and regulations. You needn't call "it" Tao or yourself a Taoist. You need only begin to wonder at the mystery of life."

"Something is mysteriously brought into existence

Long before Heaven or Earth is made,

    It is silent and shapeless,

It is always present, endlessly in motion

from it like a mother every living thing has come.

I do not know what to call it.

    So I call it Tao.

    ~ Lao Tzu ~

"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious ... He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead; his eyes are closed."

    ~ Albert Einstein ~

Do you have a book that has been a defining point for you, one that you feel should be on a Must Read List? .... If so, I would love to hear about it! Send me as email at bobbie@theangelsonearth.org

Wishing Each of You an Abundance of Peace, Love and Joy in Your Lives!

     Reason, Season & Lifetime

People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met,our desire fulfilled; their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and it is now time to move on.

When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; those things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person/people (anyway); and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

    Thank you for being a
    part of this life...

    PRAYER:
    May today there
    be peace within you.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing that you are a child of God. Let His presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, and to bask in the sun. It is there for each and every one of you.
