In the last couple of months I have been personally focusing on what it is that I would like to make of 2010. I have so many Dreams for this year, and have been working hard to find peace and patience with where I am at, defining what it is I want, and going within to find the answers on where to begin. One steady conclusion that I have come to embrace is that there is simply no room for the new if I don’t clear some space in my mind and home to make way for it! Hanging on for dear life to old ideas, patterns and even old stuff! Spring is on its way! Its time to break free from the Chrysalis and get rockin! In the past few months I have written about stones to help you practice gratitude, release fear, embrace change and this month I would like to talk about a special little beauty that will help you clear some space in your home, mind and even your body. In addition to the wealth of tools we have available to us today to help us achieve this is the beautiful and enchanting gem and mineral kingdom. All to often we underestimate the nurturing and healing energies of these beautiful gifts from Mother Earth. With this in mind I would like to introduce you to this months featured Gem Stone, Citrine.  Citrine is a variety of the Quartz Crystal. It ranges in color from a light yellow to a golden brown. Citrine is one of few stones that does not accumulate negative energies, and will actually dissipate and transform negative dense energy. When placed in each room of your home Citrine will clear the space of stagnant undesirable energies and will also provide a protective shield around the area of which it resides. It stimulates mental focus, confidence, clarity of mind, creativity and will power. It will transmute fear and aid you in finding resolutions to your most daunting issues. Citrine may be used to illuminate and activate the Root, Solar plexus and Crown Chakras and will help to align your physical body with your auric body. It will also assist you in clearing out murky areas in both the aura and physical body. When worn or carried it will provide a protective barrier around you and you may also carry a piece of citrine in your wallet, coin purse or place a piece in your cash register to promote and maintain wealth. Citrine has been used to promote circulation of the blood, aid in digestive disturbances, to balance the thyroid, activate the thymus and enhance visual abilities. As you can see Citrine is a wonderful stone for aiding us in making way for the new and improved! So when you reach for your dust rags, brooms and mops this spring, don’t forget to pack a little Citrine in your spring cleaning kit! Love is boundless. Love belongs not only to Valentines day, but it belongs to you, to me, to him, to her, to this and to that. It is shared among all people, animals, and all forms of life. Love simply is. I wont lie, I buy into all the February 14th hoopla too; just because I think its fun and it presents a nice opportunity to show a little extra love to those around you. The celebration of Love and your expression of it should never be limited to this one day alone. We benefit most from love when we allow it to be a daily celebration, and in finding ways to express it in every breath we take. Life takes us by the horns daily, we all know this… So sometimes it's all that we need; just to have a gentle reminder to find love in all people, things, and circumstances and most importantly in our selves… In addition to the wealth of tools we have available to us today to remind us of this, we also have the beautiful and enchanting gem and mineral kingdom. All to often we underestimate the nurturing and healing energies of these beautiful gifts from Mother Earth. With this in mind I would like to introduce you to this months featured Gem Stone, Rose Quartz. Rose Quartz ranges in color from a soft pink to a golden white. Its energy can produce gentleness outside of and within the user, as it radiates a calming energy that will gently work on all of the chakras to remove negativity and reinstate loving energy. Rose Quartz enhances love in any situation including within and for you self, family, and all other forms of relationships. Rose Quartz brings peacefulness, calmness and clarity to the emotions and mind, assisting you during and following difficult situations. It will help with feelings of loneliness, repressed pains from the past and heartaches. Rose Quartz promotes receptivity to the beauty that surrounds us, and will aid you in seeing past outside influences so you may truly enjoy the divinity that surrounds you. It is effective in treatment of conditions of the emotional body, as it will balance the emotion of love throughout the heart, throat, and crown chakra's.  Rose Quartz will assist you in instilling a permanence to the expression of your loving nature and will assist you in dissolving stress and tension. It has been used to clear fluids and impurities in the cells of the body, to treat vertigo, and to help in diminishing disorders related to the kidneys and adrenal glands. When placed on the heart it can diminish pain, and stimulate proper function of the heart. The uses for Rose Quartz are nearly endless! Any place or situation that could use some Extra love will benefit from its energies. Wear or carry a piece of Rose Quartz with you, allow it to remind you gently to find love, and express love in every available opportunity. Call on its energies to help you rinse away any negative energies holding you back from experiencing love to its fullest potential in every moment, and remember “All you need is love”~ The Beatles, “Love Conquers All Things” ~ Virgil, “Where There is Love There is Life” ~ Mahatma Gandhi. HELPFUL TIP: Show your crystals some love by cleansing and recharging them regularly. This will enhance the effectiveness of the energies as well as keep your little lovelies happy! To cleanse your crystals you may, run water over them, emerge them in sea salt overnight, or smudge them with sage. Once you have cleansed the crystals recharge them in the moonlight or place them outside for a few hours in the morning. Please note that there are fragile stones such as Selenite and Kyanite which should never be placed in water as they may and will eventually deteriorate. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I don’t know about you, but boy I am PUMPED about 2010! I have many big dreams that I am eager and excited to watch unfold and bring to life. Big dreams do however come with a lot of work and its often hard to figure out just exactly where to begin. It also seems there are always those things that pop up and that happen here and there that cause you to doubt your dreams, whether you are just feeling self conscious, uneasy with change, or often it is a matter of just realizing that the perceived obstacle is in fact not so much of an obstacle as it is a powerful force breaking ground for new and improved conditions that will aid you in bringing forth what you desire. We have got to step up to these illusions and call on the infinite creative power that rests within us just waiting for us to realize it! Rest assured WE CAN DO ANYTHING! We most absolutely can breath life into our deepest desires and wishes for 2010! With this in mind I would like to introduce you to this months featured Gem Stone Moonstone pronounced (Moon-stone).  Moonstone ranges in color from white, grey, pink, green, and brown to blue. The energy of Moonstone is balancing, introspective and relates to new beginnings. Moonstone helps you to realize that each new beginning marks the achievement of yet another mile marker on the road of life. It will help you with changes needed to re-design the framework of your life and pave the way on your new path of divine creation. Moonstone has also been used to alleviate emotional tension, cleanse the chakras of negativity, while providing spiritual nourishment further assisting you through all changes. Whether it be on the physical, emotional, mental or spiritual level it will aid you in making the changes necessary. It aids you in recognizing the ups and downs as cycles in life that ultimately lead you where you wish to go and also helps you to release or integrate obstacles. The Holiday Season can be a wonderful time of the year, marked with love, we bask in the warmth and presence of our most cherished family members and friends. It is a time where emotions run wild, and create feelings that range from the beautiful, joyous, and peaceful, to feelings of stress, overwhelm, and outright chaos! The stresses may be born from finance troubles, shopping hassles, time for this, time for that, or even reunions with people with whom we have unresolved business with. All situations that often leave us feeling unbalanced and disconnected. The list could go on and on, but the Holiday Season also marks the “Beginning to an Ending” of yet another chapter in our lives. What if we could cut through all the muck, and begin to enjoy what this time of year is meant to be, and take a little time to reflect on the blessings the year has brought us, allowing us to gain insight on what we wish to create in our lives in 2010. We have this power within us, but we also have an abundance of tools to aid us in achieving this. Amongst the many tools we have available to us today to help us center our selves and bring us back to our center in peace, is the beautiful and, enchanting gem and mineral kingdom. With this in mind I would like to introduce you to this months featured Gem Stone, Angelite pronounced (Angel-ite). Angelite ranges in color from Blue to white, gray or colorless, and was discovered in 1988 during the Harmonic Conversion. Angelite is a wonderful stone to use when you need to calm down from feelings of stress and overwhelm. It converts fear into faith. Angelite represents Peace and Brotherhood, neutralizing harshness and anger while supporting clear communication in both the physical and spiritual realms. Angelite is an excellent balancing agent as it aligns the physical with the spiritual. It is used to connect with your Guardian Angels, Guides and your higher self. | HELPFUL TIP: Crystals direct energy in different directions depending on their exterior geometry. The sphere or ball shaped crystals, and stones emit the energy of the gem in all directions equally. Spheres have been used to fill in and heal gaps in the Auric field. | Most of us already know that it is an “Attitude of Gratitude” that brings forth abundance in matters of life. Whether we are seeking abundance, spiritually, mentally, physically, or even when seeking abundance in matters of love, relationships, and money, it is well known that gratitude is a main ingredient in obtaining what it is we desire most. It can often be difficult to see through the eyes of gratitude when we are faced with the daily challenges that life presents us with today. Gratitude is not something that we should search out side of our selves for, furthermore it is not in reaching out for what we desire outside of our selves that we discover Gratitude as a way of life. Gratitude as a way of life already lives and breaths in each one of us, and has unfortunately been dimmed dramatically by our on-going self inflicted fear that we experience when challenged in any of the areas of life as mentioned above. In addition to the wealth of tools we have available to us today to help us center our selves and squash this fear is the beautiful, and enchanting gem and mineral kingdom. All to often we underestimate the nurturing and healing energies of these beautiful gifts from Mother Earth. With this in mind I would like to introduce you to this months featured Gem Stone Peridot. pronounced (per-i-doh).  Peridot, a name derived from the Greek word “Peridona” meaning something similar to “giving plenty”, “giving richness” or “plentiful”, can help one to receive abundance in all areas of life. Its color ranges from green, to yellow green. It emits a warm and friendly energy, useful in bringing about a sense of inner warmth and well being. Peridot calls us to examine the aspects of any given situation, furthering our understanding of changes that may be necessary for growth. It may also be used to bring about results in ones search when all avenues seem to have been exhausted. It allows you to become open to and accepting of intellectual pursuits in matters of love and relationships, aiding you in moving past hurt, thus furthering the understanding of your relationships. Peridot counters the effects of negative emotions alleviating stress, anger, depression, anxiety, and jealousy, all fear based emotions. It clears and activates the Heart and Solar Plexus Chakras increasing relaxation, comfort, patience, confidence and assertiveness. It has also been said to be the “Money Stone”, drawing money and opportunity your way. Peridot is an excellent healing stone, invigorating, strengthening and regenerating the body. Is has been used in the treatment of disorders involving the heart, lungs, spleen, intestinal tract, and has also been used during child birth to stimulate contractions and the opening of the birth canal. Peridot further more protects you from outside influences from effecting the balanced and cleansed structure. It should be removed from the body prior to any energy work, unless being used on the Heart and Solar Plexus energy centers. Like many gems with the exception of self charging stones such as citrine, peridot must be cleansed from time to time as internal disturbances will begin to effect to optimum condition. Cleanse your stone by placing it in the light of a full moon or if you are a Reiki practitioner or energy healer you may also Reiki or treat your gem to cleanse and recharge it. As you can now see peridot is a wonderfully powerful gem. Its uses are beneficial to all areas of life as it fosters emotional balance, security, and inner peace. Use peridot to aid you in clearing up the muck in your life, bringing forth the “Attitude of Gratitude” and personally witness your life transform. Mother Earth loves you and rejoices in your desire to heal, physically, mentally, and emotionally. As you heal your self not only do you heal others you also heal our beautiful Mother Earth. To enhance the healing energies of any crystal, gem or mineral you are working with align and program your stone. Begin by:
Cleansing and charging your stone in the light of a full moon, the sun or by treating it with Reiki energy. Hold the stone in the palm of your hand envisioning white light surrounding your stone and affirm “This stone is to be used for the highest good, and in love and light” Spend a few minutes formulating your intent or clarifying in your mind what it is you would like the stone to help you with.?Be very specific, remembering to keep it positive.
